Chelsea have unveiled their new home kit, featuring a gold club badge, as well as gold stripes, Adidas logo and sponsor’s lettering in recognition of London hosting the 2012 Olympics.
The FA Cup and Champions League semi finalist are unlikely to finish even third in the Premier League as they are 7 points behind third placed Arsenal with just 5 games to go. But their new look kit indicates that they have very high hopes for the next season and Roberto Di Matteo, or whoever is in charge at Stamford Bridge come August, will hope the new design translates to success on the pitch.
The club say the gold theme is “reflective of the year of sport and celebration in the capital in 2012”.
