FIFA 13 Sells 7.4 Million Copies In Four Weeks

Electronic Arts (EA) have announced as part of its most recent quarterly financial report that FIFA 13 has sold 7.4 million copies in four weeks since its release.

Madden NFL 13 was right behind it as the second best-selling game in September in the west, though no figures were given. Also of note was that Battlefield 3’s Premium service had surpassed 2 million subscribers. It had 1.3 million as of July.

FIFA sold more than 4.5 million copies across all platforms in its first five days at retail – making it not only the UK’s biggest game launch of the year, but also the biggest sports game launch ever. It dominated the all-format charts after its first weekend, selling over 1.23 million copies in its first 48 hours.

FIFA 13 is available on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, PSP, 3DS, PS2, Vita, iPhone and iPad. A Wii U version will be released alongside the launch of the console.
